A European Commission Impact Study has estimated that, each year, victims of anticompetitive behaviour fail to claim compensation of up to €23.3 billion across the EU.

Recent UK legislation and European proposals aim to facilitate damages actions to recover these losses.

How we can help you

We have a special focus on acting in damages claims on behalf of those who have suffered loss from the anticompetitive behaviour of others.

We can assist in such actions, either as standalone claims or following on from a regulatory decision of infringement, including the obtaining of litigation funding and of expert legal and economist opinions to procure such funding.

In this regard, Collyer Bristow has founded an Alliance with:

  • London Economics;
  • The Judge (third party funding brokers);
  • a leading accountancy firm; and
  • a competition barristers chambers
    (both in the UK top-five).

The Alliance analyses potential claims from legal, economic and forensic accounting perspectives, and seeks funding for the most viable claims. For further information click here.
