Property Litigation - acting for investors and developers on all contentious issues.
Commercial litigation - 'commercial Chancery' including partnership, shareholder disputes and
breach of warranty claims.
Arbitration - domestic and international. Matthew sits as an arbitrator on a wide range of
commercial issues and takes appointments from the Law Society and the Institute of Chartered
Accountants.
Matthew adivises on professional negligence claims involving Accountants, Solicitors, Surveyors,
Stockbrokers, independent financial advisors and insurance brokers. He has particular interest and
expertise in dealing with cases involving professionals advising in the property and finance
industries. He also acts for clients making and responding to complaints to the Financial Ombudsman
Service.

Matthew trained with Sharpe Pritchard & Co 1975 - 1977. He was an assistant and then Partner
with Stoneham Langton & Passmore 1977 - 1985, before joining Collyer Bristow in 1985.
