Stephen deals with all aspects of commercial property work for developers, retailers and private
individuals, including sports related and educational projects. He also deals with notarial
work.
The route to Collyer Bristow
After a brief career in publishing, Stephen switched to law and was articled at Richards Butler.
He has worked at London Weekend Television, Coward Chance and Waltons & Morse before joining
Collyer Bristow in 1994.

Most embarrassing professional moment
Whilst doing articles, a partner and I had a private view of 'Last Tango in Paris'. We were
supposed to check the script to establish whether it was the cut or uncut version. We had to stop
the film three times in the 'butter scene'. The first time we were guilty of looking at the screen
rather than the script. The second time we could not follow the text, which was in French, because
the film had been cut. The third time we managed to get it right. The projectionist was not
impressed.
Interests outside work
Stephen is a sculler and member of Mortlake Anglian & Alpha Boat Club. He also likes
yachting, football and rugby.
