Exceptional Art Award - Full Terms & Conditions

It is important that you read and understand the terms and conditions detailed below before entering a submission for the Collyer Bristow Graduate Art Award 2017 - Exceptional.

 

  1. We will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including for example, as a result of equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.

  2. Your submission will be rejected if in our opinion the image a) has been made in an irresponsible way; b) contains any obscene, offensive or defamatory material; or c) contains anything of an advertising or promotional nature.

  3. We reserve all right to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.

  4. Our decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

  5. By submitting your submission to us you confirm and warrant that:-

    (a) you are the sole author of your submission and that is your original work and will not infringe the copyright or any rights of any third party.
    (b) you own the copyright and any other intellectual property rights of your submission.
    (c) you have the permission of anyone pictured in the image for their being included in the submission.
    (d) you have not licensed or disposed of any rights in your submission that would conflict with the uses to be made by us of the submission.
    (e) you have received any necessary permissions from the owner(s) of objects, including buildings, included in your submission.
    (f) your submission will not contain any obscene, offensive or defamatory material and will not expose us to any civil or criminal proceedings and specifically the submission will not be an invasion of any person’s right to privacy.

  6. You will indemnify us against any claims against us by third parties in respect of the matters referred to in the above clause.

  7. By submitting your submission you grant us an exclusive, irrevocable licence to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media the submission(s) for any purpose connected with the competition.

  8. Submissions will be refused or removed if, in our sole judgement, they could reasonably be expected to breach or contravene any applicable law or bring the competition or Collyer Bristow or any one featured in the submission into disrepute.

  9. By submitting your submission you waive all moral rights in relation to our display of your submission.

 

Please note:

  • The selected artists will be responsible for the costs of delivery of the work to and from the gallery.
  • Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
