There has been a significant increase in pension money being split as part of divorce settlements. This rise comes as the overall rates of divorce across Britain continue to fall, suggesting divorcees are targeting their former spouses' pensions more than ever before.

Toby Yerburgh maintains that pension pots have always been a clear target and have become increasingly so, particularly when high earners are involved.
