Real estate disputes

Our specialist Real Estate Disputes team offers a full range of real estate litigation services to clients active in both the commercial and residential property arenas. We act for property owners, investors, developers, funders and both landlords and tenants.

How we can help you

When called upon we pro-actively manage disputes and take all the steps that are necessary to protect our clients' interests. We work closely alongside our real estate transactional colleagues to advise clients in a commercial and cost effective manner to help them manage their property assets in a way that prevents problems arising.

Wherever possible we strive to achieve an early settlement of a property dispute but appreciate that sometimes litigation cannot be avoided, and in those circumstances our clients can rely on the team's considerable experience in the tactical and strategic use of litigation to achieve their goals. Our team is familiar with all forums for property dispute resolution including arbitration, mediation and the court system. We prosecute and defend matters in the County Courts and up to the Supreme Court and are also experts in leasehold valuation and property chamber tribunal work.

Our Real Estate Disputes team boasts a high level of real estate litigation experience with an emphasis on complex landlord and tenant disputes, rent reviews, dilapidations claims, service charge disputes, non-payment of rent, lease renewal strategy (opposed and unopposed), forfeiture, squatter and trespass matters, administrations and other insolvency issues, development advice such as rights to light, easement and breach of covenant claims, break clause advice and leasehold enfranchisement.
