Discrimination issues can affect any organisation.  Claims can be costly and damage a business’s reputation and staff relations. Unlike unfair dismissal claims, there is no financial cap on the level of compensation that can be awarded so employees often consider lodging discrimination claims to try and maximise their damages

We can provide training courses tailored to HR and management staff, to teach them what they need to bear in mind about discrimination law when dealing with various staff management processes.  We can also provide all-staff training, designed to ensure that everyone in your organisation knows his or her obligations in relation to equal opportunities.  Such training can help provide a statutory defence to any discrimination claims, by showing that you have taken reasonable steps to avoid discrimination in your organisation.  Both training courses are interactive, with scenarios to work through. 

The managers’ course will cover discrimination issues in the following areas:

  • When to escalate an issue to HR
  • Events outside work
  • Social media
