Profile 

Mette Marie is a member of our Intellectual Property team within the Dispute Resolution department, though her practice encompasses both contentious and non-contentious work. She works on a wide range of matters with an emphasis on Intellectual Property and art law.

Mette Marie’s work on Intellectual Property includes advising on all aspects of IP protection, exploitation and enforcement in relation to the full range of copyright, trade mark, passing off, design and patent infringement cases in a number of jurisdictions. She has worked with both individual and corporate clients in a wide range of businesses ranging from telecoms to media and fashion to biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

Mette Marie’s experience in the field of art law stems from a long-standing interest in the creative sectors and includes acting for artists, galleries, museums, private collectors and government bodies advising on matters ranging from copyright infringement to art finance, sale and consignment and ownership disputes.

Mette Marie particularly enjoys international work and has a specific interest in the Nordic regions as part of Collyer Bristow’s Nordic Group.

Mette Marie is a member of the IP Society and Professional Advisors to the International Art Market (PAIAM).
